Our Learning and Practice Experience brings together expert teaching, hands‑on salon training and personalised study support. This balanced approach ensures you gain the technical ability, commercial awareness and confidence needed for a successful career in the health and beauty industry.

SALON EXPERIENCES:

Real salon experience is a core part of your qualification. You will spend time in our fully operational salon, where you will:

Carry out professional treatments
Build customer service skills on reception
Gain practical experience in sales
Learn the essentials of salon management

Our on‑site salon reception and shop offer the ideal environment to develop your commercial skills. You will have opportunities to practise sales techniques, build your customer communication skills and learn how to maximise your earning potential.

We will also support you in creating and maintaining your own client list. A strong client base is essential for your final exam.

STUDY TIME & EXPECTATIONS

Every student learns differently, and we understand that you may have other commitments. As a general guideline, we recommend setting aside around two hours of study time each evening, especially if you are on our ten or eighteen month CIDESCO courses.

To help you monitor your progress:

Weekly tests are set, with a 60 percent pass mark
Tutors will provide ongoing support if you need to improve your scores
Additional revision may be recommended to help you stay on track

During your induction, we will help you find the learning strategies that suit you best. Our experienced tutors are always available to offer guidance, share study tips and help you get the most from your course.
It is important to remember that attending lessons and completing study tasks does not guarantee a qualification. Achieving the required professional standard takes commitment, consistency and hard work. The effort you invest now will benefit you throughout your future career.
